Welcome at the International Scout and Guide Center Scouting Estate Zeewolde.
What is the International Scout and Guide Center Scouting Estate Zeewolde?
Scouting Nederland is realising International Scout and Guide Center Scouting Estate Zeewolde in the nature area the Hosterwold, on the banks of the Nuldernauw. After finalising the first phase, the estate was officially opened on June 13th 2015. From March 2016 onwards children and youngsters can undertake challenging activities in nature and on and around the water. On the site Scouting groups from within and outside of the Netherlands will organise their summer and weekend camps. Scouting Nederland will use the site from September 2015 onwards for national activities such as the Nawaka (national watercamp) and the National Jamboree for the youth members, and the Scout-In for the volunteers. Scouting Academy, the education organisation of Scouting Nederland, will use the site in the near future for training volunteers.
Natural and sustainable design
The design of the site has taken the nature into account by creating water features and open places, but also by the transformation of the current monotonous forest. The buildings, such as the overnight accommodation and the management building for the site, will be built sustainably.
At International Scout and Guide Center Scouting Estate Zeewolde children and youngsters can meet, push their boundaries and have adventures that they will remember for the rest of their lives!
